Therefore, I am equipped to work persistently in order to achieve such a success. It is my higher purpose. And I would deem the biggest gratitude to the Victor Pinchuk Foundation if, at some point, I am likewise of any assistance to my own country; when I am able to offer a helping hand to the young talented Ukrainians and pass a relay race to them, which was established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in Ukraine.

According to my parents, I stubbornly insisted on my position since I was a child and did everything to make my idea be heard. When the time came to choose a college, I decided to take a legal studies track, in order to defend the interests and the rights of others with the same spark. On the third year, my specific interests were already concentrated on human rights. In particular, I decided to devote myself to human defense of the so-called "The third generation" rights, foundation for which lays in ecology rights and right for a safe environment.

The next logical step in my professional life should have been getting a LLM degree abroad. I passed selection in four schools in England and USA all of which are best ranked internationallyThanks to the team of the WorldWideStudies program, I was able to make the right choice and to get a considerable financial support to implement my primary plan. I hope that the acquired international experience will give me a possibility to build a successful career for the benefit and the prosperity of Ukraine.

Anna Danyliak

24 y.o., Kyiv

Lund University, Sweden.
International Master’s Programme in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science – 2012

When I first stood before the choice of the direction for my studies in the university, I chose virtually without any hesitation the environment specialization with a focus on the international cooperation in the industry of the environmental protection. I see my professional future exactly in this field.

The studies in a foreign country will enable me to establish a network of like-minded individuals and colleagues from other countries on the personal level that, at the same time, will be a tool in introducing the bases of a steady development on the global level. There are no boundaries for the nature with the state borders - that is why the solution of environmental issues is needed through an active dialog of the world community and deliberate actions today.
